Alex Metcalfe performs Satie’s most important works, in character as the composer from the set of his Arceuil apartment. Sarah Miles’s script, edited from Satie’s own words, is narrated against the backdrop of Keith Lovegrove’s cinematic accompaniment.

Join us for drinks on the lawn at 8pm, weather permitting, followed by the open-air concert which starts at 8:30pm. The performance will be hosted in the private gardens of Finchcocks, framed by the west elevation of grade-1 listed manor house! A stage is being built in anticipation with on our much-loved Bosendorfer to be wheeled out to join guests on the lawn. The production will be narrated in French with English subtitles. Tickets can be booked using the form below. Due to covid healthy and safety regulations, capacity is limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Wine and elderflower cordial will be provided before the performance from a cash donations bar. The performance, beginning at 8:30pm will last approximately 1 hour 15 mins without an interval. Outdoor seating is provided.
