Even though we’ve only been going a year, it is a joy to see people starting to book their second and third courses with us.
So, by way of a thank you for our wonderful guests, we have launched a loyalty discount scheme so that as many of our guests as possible can return as often as suits them, for another dose of pianistic inspiration.
Loyalty discount rates
- 5% discount for second course
- 10% discount for third and subsequent courses
Lessons, courses or both?
Some of our guests don’t have regular lessons and come on our courses once or twice a year instead of having weekly lessons. Some of them can’t fit in a weekly lesson around their work or family commitments, and others opt to take a more leisurely approach and progress at their own rate. They come on courses to develop their technique, and be inspired by the incredible tutors we are very lucky to have at Finchcocks. And in between courses, they have the chance to work on a new set of pieces to play in front of the group.
Many find booking onto a course quite motivating – it can be really useful to have a date in the not too distant future where you’d like to be able to play one or two pieces reasonably well. Not perfectly, and definitely not up to exam standard. But well enough, that you’re ready for some feedback from one of our tutors, and brave enough to play it in front of a small group of friendly fellow pianists.
But more than half of our guests do have regular piano lessons, and book the courses alongside their weekly lessons. They tell us that the chance to pick up tips from another teacher is particularly useful. And the chance to be totally immersed in the world of piano playing, whilst being cooked for by our chef and hosted in a magical setting, is completely unique.
We even had a guest recently, who attended one of Dave Hall‘s weekend courses and was so inspired, she quit her job on the Monday after the course, and booked straight onto another course! So when people tell us that our courses feel like they are life-changing, sometimes they really are.
But it’s not just our guests who rate us highly. We recently got reviewed by the BBC music magazine, who described the experience as a “paradise for pianists”.
So if you are tempted, but haven’t yet booked on one of our courses, then drop us a line using the form below. We’ll help you pick a course that suits your experience and aspirations perfectly.
