Finchcocks, the internationally renowned piano school based near Tunbridge Wells, is pleased to announce its first summer residency programme.

The residency will run from 9 July to 27 August, with accommodation provided free of charge and unlimited access to Finchcocks’ 10 grand pianos.

Mornings will be spent assisting with tuition (for both adults and children). Afternoons and evenings will generally be free and will afford the successful candidate an opportunity to continue their own studies and programme of independent practice.

In addition to the routine of morning tuition, there will also be an opportunity to perform at evening seminars on our residential piano courses, assist our course tutors with demonstrations and masterclasses, and perform at our festival of outdoor concerts.

Remuneration will be £4,000 for the 7 week residency, with teaching duties expected to average 20 – 25 hours per week. Benefits include free accommodation, dinner with piano guests when courses are running and full use of Finchcocks grounds and facilities.

The position would suit a candidate undertaking their post graduate studies at a UK or international conservatory, with piano as their principal instrument.
