Programme Director at Finchcocks, Jennifer is a singer and violinist, performing and teaching across the Southeast. After graduating with a first-class honours degree from Southampton University in 2005 (with an Erasmus year spent at Hamburg University) and a PGCE in 2006, she maintains an active performing schedule as a classical and jazz soloist, choral singer at Eton College and with the King Charles Singers (www.jennifermaslin.co.uk). She also loves to sing with her classical-crossover duo Lyrae and jazz band Cafe Society. Jennifer is currently studying part-time for a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy and teaches vocal studies at Sevenoaks School – as well as having a popular private practice in Tunbridge Wells.
Here at Finchcocks, Jennifer manages our course programme and deals with course enquiries and guest bookings. She loves finding out about people’s musical history and helping them find a course that is just right for them: Encouraging the adult beginner to go for it, the lapsed intermediate to pick up where they left off and the advanced player to delve deeper into their art. Jennifer also hosts as course facilitator on some of our courses. Seeing the course adminstration come to frution is greatly rewarding. She is very excited to be involved in our growing number of courses and the vibrant musical opportunities that we offer here. She is also very fond of Harriet’s homemade cakes and biscuits.
Here’s Jennifer in action with David Hall on our new outdoor stage for a post-lockdown summer concert!
